“If you want to get to the top - whether in life, business or sports - and you want to stay there…then I’m your guy.”

Dr. Jeff Spencer is the premiere expert in total human performance.  He knows and teaches what it takes to get to the top and stay there.  He is an Olympic athlete, doctor, lecturer, chronic illness survivor, author, and advisor to some of the world’s most successful individuals, teams and organizations.  He is also 8-time Tour de France winning team doctor.  In his book, Every Second Counts, Lance Armstrong wrote, “Jeff is part doctor, part guru, part medicine man…we believed Jeff could fix any and all of our problems.  While he fixed us physically, he also fixed us mentally.  If you judged the most important man on the Postal team by the foot traffic in and out his door, then it was Jeff.  Without him, we knew we’d never make it to Paris.”

So, what is the ‘top’?  Not everyone wants to be the best cyclist in the world…though most of us in humanity do want a better life, to be happier and more fulfilled and to witness those around us experiencing the same. In Jeff’s programs, he teaches proven strategies to become and remain a peak performer, fully capitalize on life’s potential, maintain a strong leadership position in today’s rapidly and dramatically changing world, and create a vibrant and vital legacy.

Participants in Jeff’s programs develop the capacity to adapt, survive, and thrive in any life circumstance.  They become champions in their life and work and are equipped with superior skills to adapt.  It is much more than physical fitness - it includes emotional and social readiness for the ‘stuff’ of life, which transfers to their ability to perform and excel.  Equipped with the ability to control reactions to life, quickly adapt to change, and gather and maintain positive forward life momentum, super-adaptors have the confidence and capacity to live a passionate, purposeful, productive and prosperous life in all life circumstances.

Own the Zone - Principles of SpencerArmstrongPeak Performance
Peak performance does not just happen. There is a process for developing the readiness to perform in the moment and regardless of the circumstances.  The good news?  It is a fairly easy recipe. With the proper preparedness, you can easily move into flow…that zone that feels right, and fairly effortless.  However, talent alone won’t get you there, you must have structure to cultivate the extra dimension, and Jeff Spencer teaches just that.

What causes peak performance is the balance of the right skills.  These skills have to be a reflex to life - knowing when to do this or that - which becomes something that is part of the fabric of how you respond or auto-respond to life.  This is the result of rigorous training in your field’s technical skills and in the universal skills that apply to us as individuals.  Even when you know the response, you must then choose it.  Ask yourself, “What is change worth?” Peak performers are skilled at evaluating what we are willing to do to keep going.  The people who get stuck are those who do not commit and learn how to move forward.  Owning the zone means you are ‘all in’.

Objectives:
In this program, participants will learn:
•    The number one way winners wake up to win
•    To evaluate opportunities
•    To focus and finish the job
•    The value of mentors
•    The need for a team and accountability
•    The criticality of listening
•    To get your life 100% right 90% of the time - dispelling the perfection myth.
•    To be all in - the necessity of commitment
•    The Champions Golden Rule - do the homework and the test is easy!

“Champions know that how they perform is how they prepare.  They know what they are capable of.”
- Jeff Spencer

Becoming a Super Adaptor in the Human Race!
Your greatest asset is your ability to adapt. In the Human Race people experience challenges or roadblocks each day.  To become a super-adaptor requires a method to over-ride the universal roadblocks to acquiring the adaptive fitness that includes addressing - in the now - your lack of motivation, human nature, old habits, life span development, and environmental factors.

You can count on the fact that the journey of life includes a point of non-arrival.  Throughout a lifetime, people must adapt to the many circumstances and environments encountered.  You must be able to consistently adapt your ability to meet your goals and capitalize on opportunity in all life circumstance. To do so, you must rev up your capacity to eliminate the “flak” - acknowledge what is no longer relevant, let it go and move on.  You must be willing to say goodbye to the past to embrace a vital future.  You must be able to adapt and be able to look for the better option and not be so rigid in your thinking that you are committed to something obsolete.  Forward life momentum is about taking the right actions at the right time, and success is the purposeful outcome of deliberate actions consistently applied.

Super-Adaptation is the ongoing evolution of peak performance.  It is your readiness to peak perform anyplace, anytime, in any conditions. Do you have skills to perform in today’s world or are you becoming obsolete statistic?

In this program, participants will learn to:
•    Control reactions to life events
•    Quickly adapt to change
•    Be able to make the choices and decisions about what you stand to gain, not what you stand to lose
•    Access your Champion’s Playbook
•    Achieve goals even in the midst of changing circumstances
•    Gather and maintain positive forward momentum
•    Overcome the severe physical and mental demands of living life in today’s world
•    Develop unshakeable confidence
•    Create and convert opportunities
•    Respond with nimbleness and flexibility (no boxing yourself in with your historical thinking!)

“The only certainty in life is change.  If you can’t adapt, then you become irrelevant. It’s a never ending process.”
- Jeff Spencer

Staying Power!  Serve As Your Own Champion
Staying Power includes maintaining peak performance over the long-term.  When you arrive at the top of your game, what are the dynamics of staying there?  Often, leaders and achievers implode midstream because they cannot make this transition.  Staying power is about sustainability, and it requires you to serve as your own champion in managing your endurance.
Understand that the rules of getting to the top and staying there are different.  If you try to apply the same strategies, you will fail.   You must implement a new set of rules to create your legacy around an endless sequence of your own personal victories.

Dr. Spencer applies metaphors from the 2,300 mile Tour de France and those who experienced the ultimate life clinic which exposed its 200 rider peloton to every conceivable life challenge, emotion, and experience during its brutal 21 days of racing in the rain, wind, heat, and cold up vertical mountain passes, down death defying descents, and along the treacherously narrow and winding country roads of France.   He teaches you to serve as your own champion through three components:
•    I:  Don’t Get Dropped - Learning to Stabilize
•    II: Break Away - Learning to (consistently) Adapt
•    III: Stay on Top of Your Gear - - Learning to Thrive
Participants learn strategies for addressing the things that ‘attack’ them in life, such as financial concerns, relationships, losing face, career or other areas magnifying life’s tension.  In this program, participants will learn to:
•    Learn how super-adaptation occurs
•    Realize that less is better (energy management)
•    Stop before you ruin it (caution:  manage always wanting more)
•    Accept that you don’t need to be perfect
•    Remove distractions and clutter (literally and in your thinking)
•    Don’t drive on empty (pay attention to functional reserves and staying well)
Super-adaptors are those who win Tours, though they are not super-human. They are people who know something about themselves and life that allows them to consistently win.

“Every day is an opportunity to develop your Champion Tactics and Adaptive Fitness.  You will have attacks, and will need the ability to counter attack with the skills and staying power to survive and thrive.”
